  • The meeting was declared open by the Guild elder Styrbjorn and elder Ingrid took on the role of secretary. All participants were greeted warmly to the Theatre Guild fourth session.
  • Styrbjorn gave a brief history of the Guild, and it´s purpose.
  • Statutes was read and explained.
  • New members were deployed in the ongoing work of the Guild coat of arms and the latest proposal was sketched up. The proposal will be shown to Guild patroness Filippa before final decisions can be taken, but were accepted by the Meeting as acceptable.
  • We talked about the founders’ vision of what can come from this guild. – First and foremost we want to raise the cultural level and the joy of our known world. We hope that the Guild may be a network of contacts, providing incentives to bring more drama in our known world. This will hopefully generate subgroups/local groups with people who want to do something. Otherwise it is at the event that who ever is interested has the chance to se/participate or show something if they want. In the longer event it is quite possible that there may be workshops leading to a longer show.
  • Which brought us to the point of DoubleWars. The Guilds elder has made up some plans for what could happen. Without going into details we talk about: Workshops: Stage Fighting
  • To reach its audience
  • Improvisation (or several occations)
  • Children’s Theatre Workshop of some kind
  • Bedtime story for all children every day from Saturday to Saturday
  • Night-up of adults, a late night
  • Theatre Sports Night
  • A theater of the founders of the Guild
  • All members are encouraged of course to make suggestions on other theatrical things that can happen. It was discussed that a tent as a backdrop for a play or some kind of curtain is good to have.
  • Styringheim have their own ghost stories. They were invited to read at any of those, at the bedtime evening for the adults.
  • The Guild has got a question whether we might be interested in coming over to Gotland and help stage stagefighting for medieval jousting week. We will come back to that when we have more information.
  • Someone told us about Robert of Canterbury which is a shakespearian and perhaps may be intended for any event if he knows that it is theater in the making.
  • The next event that will surely meet the Guild is at the Bucklersevent in April of Aros.
