  • The meeting was declared open by the Guild Elder Styrbjorn and Elder Ingrid took on the role of meeting secretary. All participants were greeted warmly to the Theatre Guild first meeting with members outside the founding group.
  • Statutes was read and explained. An open discussion of the statutes resulted in some minor changes. The final version is attached to this Protocol.
  • Discussion about how fast you can get up in the hierarchy was raised. In the current situation the Guild saw no reason to stop people who want to advance, because there current are more interesting aspect is that we need more people who want to be with us and help to entertain our known world. Our beloved patron made the comment that “It definitely need not always be funny. But as the protector and the name donor to the guild, I demand that it is entertaining! “. Winged Words that the Guild promised to embrace. Whereupon a discussion about the case to turn out (not playing introvert) and to convey something to the spectators was the most important.
  • The Guild got during the meeting, their first request to assist with entertainment and workshops at the next gourmet feast in Styringheim. Guild Elder´s promised to investigate the possibility and come back with an answer.
  • We talked about what the founding fathers’ vision of what can come from this guild. – First and foremost we want to raise the cultural level and the joy of our known world. We hope that the Guild may be a network of contacts, providing incentives to bring more drama in our known world. This will hopefully generate subgroups / local groups with people who want to do something. Otherwise it is at events that those interested can meet and show something if they want. It is (as it is written in the statutes) to be both sadness and joy in these possible performances and it therefore need not only be comedy, although it is fun. 😉 In the longer event it is quite possible that there may be workshops leading to a longer show. We want to bring in all the drama that is known in our world. There is plenty to take off, for example all the way from ancient times until the Renaissance.
  • Discussion about how the Guild weapons should look like evolved into a brainstorming session without equal. Ingrid began by describing the thoughts and ideas that have so far been found. The idea was that it would be a weapon which symbolizes theater. * There’s the two masks that are ancient and correct in our time. But at the same time feels so boring. There is a patron of the theater and he is called St. Genesius – his symbol include the theatrical masks. * Otherwise, we have Dionysus – Dionysus during the festival of Dionysus himself gave the winner a goat. This means that we could have a goat!? In addition, his symbol is the rod with a pinecone on top and vines and ivy wrapped around. But in the beginning it was a clean bamboo stick. It feels a little like SCA!? 🙂 * Finally there was the idea of playing on the two masks, and instead think yin/yang, or male/female. Then there are the red and white roses which symbolize male/female! * The meeting urged all members to continue to brainstorm and feel free to send in suggestions.
  • Next event that the Guild is able to meet at the coronation in January
